About the Grammar Gnome
The Grammar Gnome is Dorothy Norton—your personal, professional editor, proofreader, technical writer, and word processing expert. Dorothy holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from San Diego State University as well as a Certificate in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English as a Second Language. She is a professional technical writer, editor, proofreader, researcher, and document formatting specialist with more than 16 years of experience. Dorothy is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA).
Like a quiet little gnome, Dorothy works diligently behind the scenes, looking for errors and ways to improve your writing while still maintaining your “voice.” Behind every brilliant writer is a little Grammar Gnome.
When not working, Dorothy spends her time chauffeuring her children to school, sports practice, and activities; playing with her dogs; perusing record stores; and collecting and reading English literature and books on language and grammar.
